This week we are featuring
Molly Christianson of Empowered Coaching

How long have you been in business?

1 year

What is your business all about? (services, products, etc)

Empowered Coaching is a leadership training and coaching business. Services I provide are:  Leadership Training, Group Coaching and One-On-One Coaching. My specialty is to partner with people to help them embrace who they are as leaders, gain clarity about what they want or how they want to impact those they lead, and empower them to move forward.

What makes your business unique?

Me! I’m an unconventional coach who is fun, playful and gets people “moving into” their leadership and lives.

What made you start your business?

There is a person out there who is on the edge of seeking her own greatness and path. Within her body, she feels the pull to step out from the shadows of others or her situation and let her voice be heard. She’s intimidated by her own confidence and power as she holds back by listening to the internal voice that tells her she’s not good enough or not worthy of having the things she desires; the joy, the impact, or the life. In spite of this fear, courage is rising up preparing her to step out and explore the unknown. Empowered Coaching, LLC is here to support and encourage that person.

What would you say are the top three skills needed to be a successful business owner?

Fierce courage, unshakable faith, and a super-power support group.

What three pieces of advice would you give to someone who wants to launch their own business?

Think before you act! Do your research and then do some more. And finally, surround yourself with people who are smarter and more experienced than you.

Who has been your greatest inspiration? My dad, Tom Walsh, Sr., and my brother, Tom Walsh, Jr. On a lighter note, Poppy Troll. :) Or what book has inspired you the most? The Little Engine that Could” and “Oh, The Places You’ll Go.”

How do you conquer those moments of doubt that so often stifle or trip up or stop so many?

I grab a glass of wine and a friend. I remember why I’m doing this and engage my “never-quit” attitude. My belief that God called me to do work this remains greater than the crappy moments of doubt. I ask myself what is there to learn and remind myself that “I haven’t given it my all until my dream is no longer an unfulfilled wish.” (Edmond Mbiaka) Today is someday! Now, let’s do this!

Thank you, Molly, for letting us share a bit about you!
