I’m the Social Media Specialist and founder, and team leader of Fresh Impact. I live in the Midwest with my husband and our four furry friends. We enjoy our cozy empty nest; however, we always look forward to seeing our children and grandchildren.
I grew up in a small Minnesota community where I was the oldest of 7 children. One of the greatest gifts my parents passed down was the mentality of “work hard at all you do!” This mentality had me working my first job at 8, and continues to motivate me in the work of Fresh Impact. My promise is to do this for each of my clients in every opportunity I get, and I am certain that promise is what has led to the sustained growth of the company.
If I’m not at my computer crafting ideas for my clients, you can find me hiking, biking, gardening, reading a book, or enjoying coffee with friends.
Why did I choose to start a social media management company?
The short answer: I didn’t. It chose me.
I started a blog in 2008 when I was first undergoing cancer treatments. At this time, I was given a 30% chance of survival and told to quit treatments. I said no to quitting treatments. I had too much to live for and wanted to fight for the chance to live my life.
Two years later, I completed cancer treatments. The experience of fighting so hard for the right to live left me with a heightened desire to find passion and value in all aspects of my life, including my work.
In late summer of 2014, I took a Social Media Management Course through iBloom. By the end of the very first session, I knew I had discovered a deep passion. Too many of the knowledge and skills required for the role perfectly align with my strengths and passions to ignore, as you’ll see below, and so after I completed the course I started working with clients. Watching business clients’ social media presence go from “now” to “wow” continues to confirm my passion and longing to grow my business.
And while that first class got me started, my love of learning and desire to provide a quality service has led to bringing on a number of consultants with specialized skills and to personally taking advanced courses to hone my craft.

A little about me....I am married to a firefighter & mom of two awesome kiddos. My little family is my WHY! Working from home is a huge benefit to my family and the crazy fire life we lead. I made the switch to virtual professional work after 15 + years in corporate life for the best interest of my family but I also enjoy the work and the relationships I have built with my clients. I love using my skills to help others grow their business and to be successful. When I am not using my virtual superpowers to relieve stress for my clients, I am enjoying a baseball game with the family, dabbling in a new essential oils recipe or planning our next family trip.

Meet Stephanie Shoup,
Social Media Strategists and Brand Designer
Steph joined Fresh Impact in 2018 and brings with her a keen eye for emerging trends that positively impact brand exposure. She has the ability to seamlessly integrate herself into any project and deliver results by creating visual concepts that communicate ideas and win over audiences.
Steph lives in the fly-over-state of Indiana and is currently finishing her BA in English. Prior to joining the Fresh Impact team, Steph worked for a home improvement store and held the role Kitchen Design Specialist which brought her to her “a ha” moment revealing her love for design. Steph’s motto is, “Created to Inspire. Inspired to Create©.”
Her communication skills, thought leadership, and critical input into social media strategies helps ensure maximum exposure across all platforms. Steph wholeheartedly believes in helping people and making a difference in the lives of those she serves. In her free time, she loves to read and spend time with her family and little Rudy Rude Dog.
Meet Lanet Hane,
Lanet Hane is the Director of WSS (www.workforcesatisfactionsolutions.com), which focuses on intergenerational training for business as well as co-owner of Networking and Connecting (www.networkingandconnecting.com), focusing on building confidence in the how and where of business networking.
She has 10+ years of experience training employees and volunteers, has created and facilitated a master’s level course, developed an after school program for under-served youth, planned events for 500+ individuals, spoken to groups of 300+, and been featured in multiple publications.
Hane has her Master’s of Education in the field of youth development, where she focused on youth engagement and experiential learning methods. Her expertise extends beyond traditional classroom teaching methods and includes experiential education, interactive facilitation, and virtual instruction.
Amanda Lomheim, Graphic Artist
Hello All! My name is Amanda Lomheim and I help out with all things graphics here at Fresh Impact. I was born and raised in Sioux Falls, South Dakota and am a Midwest girl through and through. I graduated with AAS degree in Media Design Technology and Administrative Assistant from Southeast Technical Institute in 2015 & 2016.
I am an extremely organized & creative person… which is actually an odd combination (but I embrace it!) I like creating branded pieces for clients. It is so important to have consistency in your brand pieces (printed and digital) that you put out into the world!
When I am not designing you can usually find me outside running on our local bike trail, watching football (SKOL VIKINGS) or spending time with my fiancé, friends or family!
